The short version: Snap Ingredient uses your photos only to generate the recipe you request. We do not save your photos in our own database or sell your information.
Information we handle
When you sign in with Google, we receive basic account information such as your account identifier, name, and email address. We use it to protect your monthly recipe allowance and early-access spot. When you request a recipe, the selected photos and calorie target are sent securely to OpenAI for analysis.
What we store
We store your pseudonymous account identifier, monthly recipe count, early-access status, and limited generation metrics such as token counts, target calories, model response ID, and estimated cost. Generation metrics are retained for up to 400 days. Snap Ingredient does not store your uploaded photos or completed recipe cards on its servers.
Service providers
We use Vercel for hosting, Google for sign-in, Upstash for usage records, OpenAI for recipe generation, and Resend for support or donation-interest messages. Each provider processes information needed to deliver its part of the service.
Your choices
Do not upload photos containing people, private documents, medical information, addresses, or anything you do not want analyzed. You may request deletion of Snap Ingredient account and usage records by emailing support@snaptekalabs.com.
